Just one week to go: Bologna is ready to welcome the 2025 European Universities Basketball Championships

With only one week remaining until the official start of the 2025 European Universities Basketball Championships, excitement is building in Bologna. The city is ready to welcome student-athletes, officials, and guests from across Europe.

The Organising Committee has been working tirelessly to finalize preparations, ensuring that every detail is in place for a smooth and memorable event. Volunteer and team attaché training has also begun, involving a diverse and enthusiastic group ready to rise to the occasion.

Our Basket Heroes — the dedicated volunteers who will support the Championships — took another big step forward during last Friday’s team meeting. The training session, held in close collaboration with the Organising Committee, marked one of the final stages of their preparation.

Throughout the afternoon, various working groups rotated through planning sessions, refining all the key aspects of the event — from logistics to ceremonies — to ensure a flawless experience for all participants.
